On 30 November, Monaco hosted the first ever European chess award ceremony, the Golden Pawn, at the Hotel de Paris. Chess celebrities from all over the world were present for an event which put the strategical game in the spotlight.
With destinations like Peru (2015), British Columbia 2018, and Hong Kong 2019 (where Monaco did itself credit), the World Rowing Coastal Championships are often inaccessible for many European Clubs.
