Every year, Monaco hosts multiple charity events. However, only one of them bring together Hollywood A-listers in the Principality. Leonardo DiCaprio, Gloria Gaynor, Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom and many others have already taken part in the Monte Carlo Gala for the Global Ocean, aimed at raising funds for the protection of the oceans. This year, the event is held on September 26 during the Monaco Yacht Show.

After Paris, London, Los Angeles, Tokyo and Mexico, it’s now Monaco’s turn to introduce Citymapper, a free mobile app that guides users through the city, which has been adopted by more than 20 million users around the world.  Here, the aim is to combine walking with, as a priority, all modes of transport that offer an alternative to the car.  The project is being undertaken as part of the #ExtendedMonaco programme, with the aim of providing users with better information on transport options and supporting the mobility policy of the Prince’s Government, particularly with regard to eco-responsible travel.

Winner of the 14th edition of the Monaco Classic Week is the sailing ship Puritan. Imagine close to a thousand sailors, on sailboats, Rivas, motor-yachts, canoes and yokes. More than 125 boats came to memorialize a week, dedicated to “the Art of Sea Life”. There were nautical tests as well as culinary, artistic and elegance contests. The Monaco Classic Week is a delight for everyone whether they are serious sailors, partygoers, or connoisseurs of heritage.

On Saturday 21 September, the Monaco Trott’n’Roll took place, a day of full of sport and charity dedicated to children fighting paediatric cancers and rare diseases.  On the Promenade Honoré II of Monaco, children used their scooters in the fight against cancer. The event was organized by the Flavien Foundation and was a magnificent success.  Under a cloudy but mild sky, dozens of children rode through a circuit in the Principality.
