Covid-19 Cases in Monaco During Christmas and Boxing Day
Sadly in the week leading to Christmas there was one death in Monaco, that of a 77-year-old resident who tested positive for the virus. Since the beginning of the health crisis, 38 people have died after being infected with Covid-19.
Eighty new positive cases for Covid-19 manifested themselves on Christmas Day, December 25th and another 16 the following day.
The Principality’s health record at the end of Boxing Day therefore stands at 4,766 people affected by the coronavirus since the start of the health crisis.
Monaco’s Venturi first electric polar exploration machine arrived in Antarctica
After 12 years of research and development, after tests in Auron and in Canada, the polar exploration machine developed by the Monegasque company Venturi has arrived in Antarctica. t has been made available to scientists belonging to the Belgian science station Princess Elisabeth.
At the foot of the Antarctic mountains, its sturdy orange silhouette stands out sharply against the white immensity. Only the screeching of its tracks on the snow and the whistling of its electric batteries are heard.
Rich and varied programme for the Oceanographic Museum and the Tous Oceano campaign
Until 5 January, the Monaco Oceanographic Museum invites children and adults to a variety of activities and offers interesting gift ideas made from recyclable materials. The museum also introduced five ambassadors of Oceano fauna who took part in the Tous Oceano campaign at the end of the year.
As every holiday season, the programme at the Oceanographic Museum is very rich. The digital and interactive exhibition allows visitors to discover the treasures of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. Monaco’s New Innovative Waste Treatment Facility on Charles III Islet
The National Council have recently come to an agreement about a new waste treatment facility for Monaco, opening a new and optimistic chapter in the saga of waste management in the Principality.
The new project was welcomed and approved by officials and will be created using an innovative, less-polluting technology.
The project, called ‘Symbiose’, was presented by the directors of SMEG and SMA to elected officials. Construction is planned to take place on the future Charles III islet, with an initial budget of 304 million euros.

AS Monaco Finishes the Year on a High Note
After the recent match against Rennes the Vice-President, Director General of AS Monaco took stock of the year 2021 and set the objectives for the second part of the season.
AS Monaco ended its year 2021 on a high note, beating Stade Rennais (2-1) on the 19th day of Ligue 1. This was a great success, in a well-attended match at Stade Louis-II.
