In its latest 2021 edition the renowned Ulysses guide has chosen Monaco’s Exotic Garden among the 150 most beautiful gardens in the world. It is a real eden photographed beautifully.

While you wait to rediscover this gem on our doorstep with its breathtaking view of the Principality you can enjoy beautiful illustrations of the gardens.

Due to major security and consolidation work, the Exotic Garden has been closed since May 2020. But expectations are that it should open its doors to the public again by 2022.

New Secure Digital Identity Cards for Monegasques and Resident Permit Holders

New identity cards for Monegasques and new residence permits for residents are going digital.

The digital cards will be easily recognizable internationally. They meet the recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), on travel documents. Also there will be a high profile distribution of these documents to foreign authorities. This will be achieved through diplomatic and consular channels, through the register of official documents « Edison » of the Interpol ICPO and by the European register « PRADO », the online public register of authentic identity and travel documents. They will offer secure access to multiple online services.

Mexico was shaping up to be one of the stronger races for Ferrari. The bell was ringing for a success after a string of improving near-podium results. And it’s not only Leclerc who has been on a hot streak, but his team mate Carlos Sainz as well. Ferrari have scored in all but one race this season.

But mistakes cost dear and a podium challenge in Mexico vanished for Charles Leclerc with errors in Q3 of qualifying which relegated Ferrari to the fourth row of the grid. Charles had been brimming with optimism before that mistake but then “mad” at himself tweeted:

“A very frustrating quali. Everything was coming together until the second lap in Q3. Tomorrow is a new day and I’ll give it my all to make it a great one.”

At a morning press meeting, Minister of State Pierre Dartout presented a forecast for next year’s public budget, which is optimistically balanced despite global and local economic blows caused by the ongoing pandemic.

The Minister of State and government advisor-Minister of Finance and the Economy, Jean Castellini, outlined the first draft of the 2022 budget, which will be presented at the next National Council public meetings in December. According to Pierre Dartout, the forecasts are ambitious but not unrealistic and are suitable to the ongoing economic situation.

While remembering Princess Grace it’s hard not to mention the love story between Prince Rainier and Grace Kelly and how they met for the first time.

The story, which is not well-known, happened in 1955 on a train heading from Paris to the Côte d’Azur. Olivia, newly married to «Paris Match» editor Pierre Galante, went with her husband to Cannes. The small French town was then preparing to host the 8th Cannes Film Festival.

COVID-19: A Third Dose is Now Available for People Aged 18 and Over

Following on from people aged 65 and over and health professionals, the Prince’s Government is now making a third dose of the vaccine available to all Monegasques and residents aged 18 and over who have been vaccinated more than six months ago. This is in accordance with the favourable opinion of the European Medicines Agency (EMA).

Just back from Philadelphia and New York, H.S.H. Prince Albert welcomed HelloMonaco in his ceremonial chambers. Following the enormous success of the Gala Ocean, the Monegasque sovereign kindly accepted answering HelloMonaco questions. The interview was held in an exceptional place populated with rare objects, master paintings and souvenirs. It had a truly warm and sincere vibe to it thanks to the Prince who, just like his mother, knows how to listen to people not only with his mind, but also with his heart.
